 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. ⚠️ True review. 100% exactly described. Bad, risky, dangerous, unprofessional experience. PLEASE READ FULLY. No offense. But the truth. We had pre-booked a sunset kayaking session via WhatsApp and confirmed all details over a call with Shravan & Rupa Kayaking. The agreed start time was 5:30 PM, and we reached by 5 PM as instructed. At 5:35 PM, when we asked to begin, Mrs. Rupa informed us that her son Shravan (the individual referenced in all existing reviews and presumably the trained operator) was not present and would only return around 6 PM. Despite this, instead of cancelling or rescheduling, she insisted that her husband would handle our session. We were then given extremely minimal and inadequate instructions: * We would be pushed into the sea and expected to paddle on our own * We were told to stay in a certain direction and not cross rocks * No structured safety briefing, no demonstration, and no emergency protocol explanation This was particularly alarming because we had clearly and explicitly informed them beforehand: * We had never done sea kayaking before * We do not know how to swim or even float * We had concerns about capsizing and emergency handling Despite this, we were repeatedly assured that it was “completely safe” and that the kayak “would not topple.” WITHIN SECONDS OF BEING PUSHED INTO THE WATER: * A WAVE STRUCK THE KAYAK AND WATER ENTERED IT * IMMEDIATELY AFTER, A STRONGER WAVE HIT AND COMPLETELY OVERTURNED THE KAYAK * BOTH OF US WERE THROWN HEAD-FIRST INTO THE SEA WITHOUT ANY GUIDANCE OR SUPPORT FORTUNATELY, THE WATER LEVEL AT THAT EXACT POINT WAS SHALLOW ENOUGH FOR US TO STAND.       THIS WAS PURELY A MATTER OF LUCK.   HAD THIS OCCURRED EVEN SLIGHTLY FURTHER OUT, THE CONSEQUENCES COULD HAVE BEEN FAR MORE SERIOUS,    ESPECIALLY GIVEN THAT NEITHER OF US CAN SWIM. Even after witnessing the capsizing, we were encouraged to proceed further into the sea under the claim that conditions would improve beyond the waves. This reflects a deeply concerning lack of risk awareness and accountability. Additionally: * No trained guide accompanied us into the water * No life-saving personnel or immediate rescue support was present * The entry point used for us was unsafe, with active crashing waves * We later observed other operators launching from a completely different, significantly safer entry point The core issue here is not just poor service, but a serious lapse in judgment, safety protocol, and professional responsibility—especially while handling first-time, non-swimming participants in open sea conditions. If the experienced operator (Shravan) was unavailable, the session should have been cancelled or postponed. Proceeding under UNQUALIFIED SUPERVISION AND EXPOSING CUSTOMERS TO SUCH RISK IS UNACCEPTABLE. While they may be well-intentioned individuals, they clearly lack the required expertise, safety preparedness, and decision-making standards necessary for conducting sea kayaking activities. I strongly advise others—particularly beginners—to exercise extreme caution. This experience was not just disappointing, but genuinely dangerous. TRUSTING THEIR JUDGMENT WAS A MISTAKE WE DEEPLY REGRET. Honestly, anyone in our place would. Regret is an understatement. To be extremely honest, I'm writing this review at 3.43am being unable to sleep literally because of the shiver of 'what could have been'.
